Family Interview Book Project |
For this project, we had to come up with interview questions we were supposed to ask a family member or friend. Those questions had to do with cultural heritage, migration, etc. For this project I interviewed my Grandmother, I call her Nana, and I learned so much about her and my culture through this project. This project is one of my favorites in this class. In the picture on the left, you can see my book page. It includes a QR Code for the interview recording, 3 of my favorite questions I asked my Nana, and a picture of my Nana.

For this project, we have to write an essay about our given thesis. For my thesis, I chose, "Deportation isn't the right solution for illegal Immigrants." We were given this project because we just finished a novel called Enrique's Journey. The novel was a nonfictional book about a boy, from Honduras, travels from his country and across Mexico on train to go to America to find his mother. Everything in the book was real and it just shows the reader another side of Immigration. Our essay had to be at least 5 paragraphs long and we had to include our sources at the end. For the first two body paragraphs, I had two claims to why deportation isn't the solution, but I also had a counter-claim for the last body paragraph. On the left, is a picture of the first page of my Essay.
